Our main mission since January 1992 has been the needs of Norristown's daytime homeless, focused in the Hospitality Center and Soup Kitchen ministries. The Hospitality Center provides a wide range of services. One of the benefits of the Hospitality Center is the efficiency it provides. Prior to the Hospitality Center, individuals and families in crisis would go to one church after another for assistance in their times of need. Now all the congregations of the area can send them to a centralized location for crisis management and referral to available church, community, and Montgomery County services and resources.
Norristown Ministries, Inc. is a tax exempt, nonprofit corporation chartered in April 1983 for the purpose of promoting and developing the spiritual, physical, and mental welfare of the disadvantaged, underprivileged or otherwise needy citizens of the Borough of Norristown. In partnership with community, nonprofit and corporate organizations, it addresses the needs of the poor and homeless in the Norristown area. |
