Imagine spending a cold winter night on the streets. You’re awake early in the morning and you are chilled to the bone, not to mention having nothing to eat since yesterday’s dinner. You enter the Hospitality Center and already you feel the warmth and smell of freshly brewed coffee. On the kitchen counter you see scones, bagels, and Danish, along with fresh fruit and cereal. It is a welcome sight to an empty stomach!
Thanks to our partnership with Panera Bread, our clients are able to enjoy these pastries with a hot cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. A team from Norristown Ministries has been picking up these donations for more than six years from Panera’s franchise in Audubon. In addition to the breakfast pastries, unsold bread is given to our housed clients to help them put food on the table.
Recently Norristown Ministries recognized Panera of Audubon with the presentation of a plaque to thank them for their years of outreach to the poor and homeless.
For those of you who will be attending our Annual Meeting & Luncheon on June 14, a delicious complimentary meal will be provided by Panera of Audubon.
We wish to thank Panera Bread of Audubon and their manager, Joshua Williams, for their support. We hope that you will patronize their restaurant and thank them personally when you visit.
